About the Program

The Cybersecurity Impact Program was developed to create more accessible career opportunities in cybersecurity. In partnership with the 8200 Alumni Association, ThriveDX, formerly Cybint, has launched a Cybersecurity Bootcamp which successfully prepares people with little or no background in tech for entry-level cybersecurity jobs. 

Fully government-funded, the Cybersecurity Impact Bootcamp encourages underrepresented groups of people in tech, such as women, minorities, and students from the socio-geographic periphery, to apply. Watch our latest webinar to learn more.

Why Cybersecurity?

Cybersecurity is the most in-demand career across all of the technology industry. With the rise of digital life and cybercrime, the need for cybersecurity professionals is critical.

For almost a decade, the unemployment rate in cybersecurity has been 0%, and job growth is forecasted to grow 350% over the next few years. With plentiful opportunities and competitive compensation, the Cybersecurity Impact Bootcamp will put you on your way to becoming a cybersecurity professional.

How It Works

The program consists of both online self-paced activities and live sessions with a dedicated industry-trained facilitator. 

Full Time, 3 Months

4 hours daily with the Bootcamp facilitator and 4 hours of individual online work.

In addition to the Cybersecurity Impact Bootcamp, learners will receive continued access to ThriveDX's online learning platform, including ongoing training covering emerging cyber threats and tools. Graduates of the program will also become connected to our community of the 8200 Alumni Association and ThriveDX, formerly Cybint.

Application Deadline

Applications will be accepted now through April 1st, 2022. Candidates will then be evaluated and asked to take a pre-assessment and also have an interview with our team. The next Bootcamp cohort will begin on April 24th, 2022.

Q:  What is the application process? 

A: The first step of the process is to complete the online application. After this, relevant applicants will be invited to take an assessment on the ThriveDX, formerly Cybint, platform. 

Q: Who is eligible to apply for the Bootcamp?

Cybersecurity impact BootcampThe Cybersecurity Impact Bootcamp was developed to create more accessible career opportunities in cybersecurity. We encourage underrepresented groups of people in tech, such as women, minorities, and students from the socio-geographic periphery, to apply.

Q: Are there any prerequisites for the Bootcamp? 

A:  You will need English reading proficiency, basic math and logic skills, and most of all, drive and motivation to learn in an accelerated environment. After admission, bootcampers will complete the self-paced Prework module (~20 hours) before the start of the Bootcamp, whose objective is to bring everyone to the same level of technical expertise. 

Q: I have no prior background in cybersecurity, but I am passionate about it. Can I participate in the Cybersecurity Bootcamp? 

A: Yes! The Bootcamp requires no prior cybersecurity knowledge or experience. While it is not a requirement, a background in technology can be an advantage. 

Q: What is the cost of the Bootcamp? 

A: The program is fully government-funded by the Israeli Ministry of Economy and Industry. Participants are required to pay a registration fee of 380 NIS. 

Q: How is it possible to learn cybersecurity in only three months? 

A: The Bootcamp was developed under the principle of “everything you need to know but only what you need to know”. ThriveDX's accelerated learning methodology – based on military bootcamps – focuses on teaching you the specific skills you will need to start your cybersecurity career.  

Q: What is the format of the Bootcamp?

The full-time Bootcamp - exclusive of the Prework - is comprised of 480 hours of best-in-class content, delivered 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, over 3 months. Keep in mind, we all learn at different speeds and you may find some topics require more or less time. As such, the platform will be available to you 24/7. 

Q: Is attendance mandatory? 

A: Yes, 95% attendance is required to complete the program. 

Q: Is the Bootcamp self-paced? 

A: At the beginning of each day, you will receive daily learning objectives from your facilitator. During the day, you will learn at your own pace on the online platform. At the end of the day, you will regroup with your cohort and facilitator for another session to consolidate the day’s learning. 

Q: Can I work during the program?

A: No. The accelerated format of the Bootcamp is very demanding, and participants will not be able to work during the program. 

Q: Who are the instructors? 

A: The instructor is the platform, which was developed by the ThriveDX, formerly Cybint, cybersecurity experts. Through the platform, you will access content as well as practice labs and scenarios. In addition, every cohort will be assigned a facilitator, who will be supporting your learning experience and ensuring no one is left behind.  

Q: How will I learn practical cybersecurity skills? 

In order for you to practice the skills you learn, the Bootcamp includes over 100 unique hands-on exercises that run in virtual machines. These are safe environments where you will be able to run different operating systems, access various tools without installing them on your computer, and practice confidently without putting your computer at risk. 

Q: How will the program work remotely? 

A: In the remote program, you will get together with your classmates and facilitator over video conference twice a day, once in the morning and once at the end of the day. During the day, you will be able to communicate with classmates and facilitators via messaging platform.

Q: Is the Cybint platform web-based or do I need to download software to a PC? 

A: Everything is browser-based so there is no need to install any app or software. We recommend using Chrome internet browser for the best experience. 

Q: What are the minimum computer requirements and what is the recommended setup? 

A: In order to participate effectively in the Bootcamp, you will need a laptop able to run video conferencing. This includes an up-to-date operating system, a stable high-speed internet connection, and a working camera and microphone. For a more detailed list please refer to the Zoom System Requirements. In addition, a second screen is recommended for an optimal experience.  

Q: What certification will I get from this program? 

A: Upon successful completion of the program, you will receive a Certificate of Completion issued by ThriveDX, aligned with the NICE-NIST Framework.  

Q: Does the training guarantee me a job?

A: The Bootcamp curriculum is market-driven, focusing on the key skills sought by employers. After graduation, you will have the technical knowledge and practical hands-on experience you need to apply for SOC Analyst positions. In addition, the program includes placement support which relies on the networks of both ThriveDX and the 8200 alumni association.
